Environmental Activist, Tim DeChristopher, to speak at First U on Saturday, November 2nd

2013 October 17
by DoMC
Tim DeChristopher will speak with activist Jessica Roff about the present and future of the peaceful Environmental Movement locally and globally.  As a group we will raise questions and explore the diversity of approaches to see how we can work together and bring about Peaceful change.  This is an opportunity to explore how climate change and our energy choices are connected and what we can do as activists and educators of the public to shift the tide of consciousness.  There will be music by Bryan Cahill (A…RISE). We will sit down in small groups with other engaged individuals and explore how we feel, what we think and where we are going as a broad based community. Please bring a friend. Tim DeChristopher is a UU studying ministry at Harvard Divinity School.  Requested donation $25 to defray costs. For more about Tim, http://billmoyers.com/segment/why-tim-dechristopher-went-to-prison-for-his-protest/. For more about this event and to RSVP:  https://www.facebook.com/events/1424522941101523/
