March Musicale Madness – Friday, March 28th, 8:00PM
The First Unitarian Church in Brooklyn Heights is offering the second concert of the two part series March Musicale Madness: Two Festive Evenings of Song. The Brooklyn Unitarian Quartet: soprano Marielle Murphy, mezzo soprano Melissa Paul, tenor K’idar Miller, and baritone Andrew Cook-Feltz will perform on March 28th at 8:00 pm, accompanied by pianists Alden Gatt and Music Director William Peek. The first enthusiastically received concert featured music from the 17th through the 19th centuries; the second concert will focus on music composed in the 20th and 21st centuries. Andrew Cook-Feltz will perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’ haunting cycle Songs of Travel and Samuel Barber’s Four Songs, Opus 13. The program will also include a selection of African American songs, songs from musical theater, and vocal jazz. Tickets are available for purchase at the door. A suggested donation of $25.00 is requested for each concert ($15.00 for students and seniors). Patron tickets (includes reserved seating and champagne) are available for $75.00.
