Honoring our Music Director Emeritus

William (Bill) Peek served our congregation as Music Director for 28 years.  On June 8, 2014, Bill retired from his position with us, but not from his career as a musician.  We were blessed by Bill’s presence among us for nearly 3 decades.  He is a consummate professional with an encyclopedic knowledge of music and a range of skills that never ceases to amaze.  In honor of his service, Bill was given the title of Music Director Emeritus by acclamation of the congregation at its Annual Meeting on May 18, 2014.  A plaque has been placed on our historic organ to commemorate Bill’s outstanding career.

A luncheon was held in Bill’s honor following worship

I visited the church recently and was sorry that I missed seeing Bill by about 2 months. I loved what he did as music director when I attended regularly decades ago, and on the rare occasions that I could attend when I visited New York. Wish him all the best in his retirement, and would love to hear back from him if he is reachable.
