Lots to buy at Women's Clothing

The days are shorter.  The weather is colder.  And every year, as night follows day, UniFair is around the corner.  This year it’s Saturday, December 7th, three weeks away.

UniFair is our most joyous and collaborative community event when everyone, especially newcomers, pitches in to rummage through closets, attics, basements and bookshelves for items to donate…and then to sort, bake, create, stitch, shelve, and volunteer.  UniFair is a flea market, a holiday extravaganza, and one of our two major fundraising events.

We need YOU to donate your like-new or  clean, gently used clothing, jewelry, books, baked goods, CD’s, clean toys or children’s items in good condition,  whimsical, usable “white elephant”  items and, of course, to volunteer to do whatever UniFair activity you prefer.  (Please don’t give us your electronics, VHS tapes, Ikea shelving or large baby items)

This year UniFair will have some new or expanded features:  We’re adding a UU  information and outreach table, a bigger and better jewelry section, and a larger books, artwork and stationery area. Children’s items, linens, and some accessories will be in a new bargain department.  Lunch will be available from 12-2, and coffee from 10-4.

Community “sorts” will be held on the following dates & times:

Sunday, 11/17           12:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, 11/24            12:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sunday, 12/1               12:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

A sign-up sheet will be available during coffee hour in the undercroft where you may specify where you’d like to work the week before and on the day of UniFair.  We especially need new, young bodies to help with set-up.  Some older stalwarts have finally begun to feel their age. Set-up and final sorting will take place every evening between December 2nd  and December 6th.
