Weddings
In case you have not seen us in person recently, please note that our building is covered in scaffolding as we carefully repair our facade and rooftop spires. As we are in the first historically designated neighborhood in all of NYC, any exterior renovation falls under the guidance and approval of the Landmarks Preservation Commission, which of course takes extra time and coordination. Accordingly, we are offering a “scaffolding special” for all weddings booked while the scaffolding remains in place.
Gothic Revival Sanctuary Wedding Ceremony is normally $5,000; scaffolding special is $3,000.
The Sanctuary Package includes:
- Up to 450 guests (300 on the primary level, 150 on the balcony level)
- Two hour rehearsal in the Gothic Revival Sanctuary
- Five hour space rental on ceremony day
- Gothic Revival Sanctuary (for the ceremony)
- Servetus Library (as a green room for the wedding couple & attendants)
- Frances White Room (as a green room for the wedding couple & attendants)
- on-site venue coordinator
- audio-visual tech to live stream and/or record the ceremony, as requested, and handle all sound checks for speakers and musicians
McKinney Chapel Wedding Ceremony is normally $3,000; the scaffolding special is $2,000.
Chapel Package includes:
- Up to 80 guests
- Two hour rehearsal in the Chapel
- Five hour space rental on ceremony day
- McKinney Chapel (for the ceremony)
- Frances White Room (green room for the wedding couple & attendants)
- on-site venue coordinator
- audio-visual tech to live stream and/or record the ceremony, as requested, and handle all sound checks for speakers and musicians
Frances White Room Wedding Ceremony is normally $1,500; scaffolding special is $1,000.
FWR Package includes:
- Up to 25 guests
- Three hour space rental in the Frances White Room on ceremony day
- on-site venue coordinator
Servetus Library Wedding Ceremony is normally $1,000; scaffolding special is $500.
Library Package includes:
- Space is limited to the couple, witnesses, and officiant
- Two hour space rental in the Library on ceremony day
- on-site venue coordinator
Wedding Packages do not include:
- Officiant
- Musician(s)
- Reception (may be arranged for an additional fee)
First U Brooklyn Minister’s Wedding Fees start at $900 (regardless of the size of the ceremony) and are negotiated directly with the minister. Our Wedding Coordinator can put you in touch with First U Brooklyn’s Director of Music and accompanying talented soloists and musicians.
A signed venue agreement and a deposit of 50% of the Ceremony Package is required to hold the date, which includes a $500 non-refundable deposit. All fees must be paid in full 30 days before the wedding date.
Members of the congregation in good standing for at least 12 months at the time of booking, and their children, are entitled to a reduced cost wedding ceremony. Click here for more information.

Dedications/Namings/Child Blessings
Children’s Blessings and Dedications are held in our Gothic Revival Sanctuary, generally on Saturday mornings or afternoons, but an alternate day and time can be arranged. The space fee is $500 plus $350 to the officiant.
Reception packages are available, starting at $300. Please ask Renee (renee@firstubrooklyn.org) for more information. Fees are paid in full at the time of reservation.
Funerals, Memorials, or other Celebrations of Life
Gothic Revival Sanctuary Memorial Package is $2,500 and includes:

- audio-visual tech to live stream and/or record the ceremony, as requested; set up slide shows, if needed; and handle all sound checks for speakers and musicians
Memorial Packages do not include:
- Officiant
- Musician(s)
- Reception (may be arranged for an additional fee).
First U Brooklyn Minister’s Memorial Fees start at $600 (regardless of the size of the ceremony) and are negotiated directly with the minister. Our Wedding Coordinator can put you in touch with First U Brooklyn’s Director of Music and accompanying talented soloists and musicians.
Fees should be paid in full at the time of reservation.
