Worship Committee is Now Considering Summer Service Proposals

The Worship & Music Committee invites you to begin thinking about the summer service you’ve always wanted to lead. Each year, from the third Sunday in June through the first week in September, First Unitarian services are held in the chapel and are led by members and friendsĀ of the congregation. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the spiritual ideas and experiences that hold significance for you and that you would like to share with the community. You can also choose to work with a friend or a small group. Some of our best services have been led by two or more people!

If you have a great idea, but don’t know where to begin with planning, the Worship and Music Committee will provide you with all the help you need to prepare your sermon and order of service. You will also have a worship assistant from the Committee to help you plan logistics in advance and during your Sunday worship. A piano accompanist will be provided and you are also welcome to incorporate news rituals or music.

If you are ready to lead a summer service, please find the applicationĀ here and submit it by email FirstUUsummer@gmail.com. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of the Committee at our table in the undercroft after Sunday service. Or, e-mail Bob Bero at robert.bero@gmail.com.
