Margot Adler

Margot Adler will preach “Vampires Are Us: Mortality, Morality and the Fate of the Planet”, an earth centered voyage of discovery about why vampires are so attractive to people, teens and adults and how the conflicted vampire of the last 40 years, the one that is everywhere – from Twilight to True Blood, all the way back to Dark Shadows, represents our own moral struggle and our guilt at the destruction of the earth.

Margot Adler has been involved with Earth-based spirituality, Wicca and Paganism since 1972. She is the author of Drawing Down the Moon, the classic study of Paganism and Goddess Spirituality, as well as Heretic’s Heart, a Journey Through Spirit and Revolution. Her new book,Vampires Are Us will be out this winter. A shorter essay with the main ideas reflected in her sermon is Out for Blood, and is available as an Amazon Single. In her mundane life, she is a 35 year veteran correspondent for NPR, whose pieces regularly air on All Things Considered, Morning Edition and Weekend Edition.
