Connections Team
Mission Statement

The First Unitarian Connections Team works with the Membership Coordinator to help newcomers connect deeply with the congregation’s members, friends, and mission.
Committee work includes, but is not limited to:
- Connecting personally with visitors and newcomers
- Staffing the connections table during fellowship hour
- organizing activities that bring newcomers into the community
- planning and organizing new member events
- honoring milestone membership anniversaries
- facilitating affinity groups
- leading Pathways to Membership programs
The committee meets monthly, alternating between online and in-person sessions from September to June.
Meeting agendas typically include opening/chalice lighting words, a check-in, updates on the previous month’s activities, planning for future programs, and brainstorming ideas to fulfill the committee’s mission.
A summer retreat to plan program-year activities is encouraged. Anyone interested in building community and fostering a culture of welcome is encouraged to join us.
